⚡ Function in the Electrical System

ON-GRID photovoltaic system with SolarMax inverters.
The MaxVisio functions as the display and data acquisition unit for the photovoltaic system. It can display instantaneous power, energy production, daily trends and system status, as well as data from individual connected devices.
It can be used in two configurations:

• together with MaxWeb, as the system display;
• in standalone mode, for small photovoltaic systems without a remote monitoring system.
  In standalone mode, the device can display and record data from the entire system and individual inverters. It can also display irradiance data when a compatible MaxMeteo sensor is present.

📡 Communication and Data Acquisition

Communication with SolarMax inverters takes place through the MaxComm / RS-485 communication network. The manual indicates that only SolarMax devices equipped with an RS-485 interface can be connected to the MaxVisio.
The MaxComm network can reach a maximum distance of approximately 300 metres between the first and last device, and each device must be configured with a unique address.
The integrated data logger also allows production data to be stored; the documentation indicates production data recording capacity of up to 20 years, depending on configuration and memory usage.

🏭 Installation and Construction

The MaxVisio is designed for installation in dry and clean indoor environments, thanks to its IP20 protection rating. It is therefore not intended for direct outdoor installation.
The enclosure features a front touchscreen display, rear/internal connections and provision for connection to the MaxComm network. The manual also specifies the use of the dedicated power supply and connection cable with RJ-45 connector.

New old-stock product, with the device in visually excellent condition. The photographs show the original packaging and the accessories included in the package. The box itself shows clear signs caused by storage and age.
Before commissioning, it is recommended to verify correct operation of the touchscreen, power supply, RS-485/MaxComm communication and SD memory.
⚠️ The device must be used exclusively with a power supply compliant with the specified requirements and installed in a dry and clean environment. The IP20 rating does not permit direct installation in environments exposed to water or atmospheric conditions.
