The Steca Solsum 8.8F is installed between the photovoltaic module, battery and DC loads. The controller manages the energy coming from the PV panel and automatically controls the battery charging process, reducing the risk of overcharging.
When the battery reaches a voltage that is too low, the LVD function can disconnect the load to protect it from deep discharge. The load is subsequently reconnected when the specified reconnection voltage is reached.

🏭 Construction and Installation
The controller is housed in a black plastic enclosure with four mounting points and a front six-connection terminal block, dedicated respectively to the photovoltaic module, battery and load.
The Solsum 8.8F must be installed in a vertical position, in a dry and protected environment, avoiding direct exposure to water and atmospheric agents. The IP32 protection rating does not identify the product as suitable for unprotected outdoor installation.
🛡️ Safety and Product Condition
Used product, in generally good cosmetic condition, with normal signs of use on the enclosure. The Steca Solsum 8.8F – 12/24 V – 8 A markings and terminals are clearly visible.
Before selling as a working unit, it is recommended to verify automatic 12/24 V detection, charging voltages, LVD protection activation, load output and correct operation of the LED indicators.
⚠️ The connection must respect the correct polarity and the sequence specified by the manufacturer. The controller must not be used to connect inverters directly to the load output; Steca documentation specifies that inverters must not be connected to the controller's load output.
