Description
Description
Used product. The ABB A95-30 is a power contactor from the ABB A95 series, designed for controlling and switching three-phase motors and industrial power circuits.
The contactor features 3 main poles, with power terminals 1L1–2T1, 3L2–4T2, and 5L3–6T3, and is equipped with an ABB CA5-10 auxiliary contact block, configured with 1 normally open contact (1NO).
The contactor is also fitted with an ABB RV5/250 surge suppressor, designed for control circuits with a 110–250 V AC/DC coil, helping to suppress voltage peaks generated when the coil is de-energized.
The unit shows normal signs of previous use, including light abrasions and superficial marks on the plastic and metal components. The control wiring connected to the accessories is also present, as shown in the photographs.
Electrical operation cannot be certified from visual inspection alone. Before installation, it is therefore recommended to check the coil, continuity of the main and auxiliary contacts, and electrical insulation.

⚡ Function in the Electrical System
The ABB A95-30 is used for switching and controlling high-power electrical loads, particularly three-phase motors, industrial lines, pumps, fans, compressors, and automation equipment.
When the contactor coil is energized, the three main contacts operate simultaneously, allowing the load to be supplied through the three phases.
The CA5-10 provides a 1NO auxiliary contact, which can be used for signaling, self-holding circuits, interlocking, or connection to control and monitoring circuits.
The RV5/250 helps suppress voltage peaks generated when the contactor coil is de-energized, helping protect the associated control circuit.
🏭 Construction & Installation
The contactor features the typical compact construction of the ABB A95 series, designed for installation in electrical panels, automation cabinets, motor starters, and industrial equipment.
The main power terminals are clearly identified:
- 1L1 / 2T1
- 3L2 / 4T2
- 5L3 / 6T3
The assembly includes the front-mounted CA5-10 auxiliary contact block and the RV5/250 surge suppressor installed on the contactor.
Before installation, the following should be verified:
- Rated current of the circuit
- Operating voltage
- Wiring diagram
- Conductor sizing
- Required switching capacity
- Correct supply voltage for the 110–250 V AC/DC control circuit
Installation must be performed by qualified personnel.
