The CAA150-M12 allows an aluminum conductor to be connected to a copper connection point while avoiding direct contact between the two materials.
The bimetallic construction uses an aluminum barrel for cable insertion and an electrolytic copper palm for connection using bolted hardware. The Al/Cu joint is produced by friction welding, while the inside of the barrel is protected against oxidation.
