Fault Messages Displayed and Possible Corrective Actions

System Failure: Insulation Failure

  • Action: Measure the impedance between PV (+) and PV (-) and the earth. It should be above 8MΩ. If within specifications and the insulation detection circuit alarms, replace the system.

Loss Towards Ground

  • Action: Disconnect the photovoltaic generator, inspect the AC system peripherals. After identifying the issue and reconnecting the photovoltaic source, check the inverter's condition. If the fault persists, a faulty GFCI circuit may require system replacement.

Grid V/Hz KO

  • Action: Wait 30 seconds for normal conditions to restore for automatic inverter restart. Verify mains voltage and frequency within specs and adjust operating range using Soleil Solar Control. Replace the system if the fault continues.

Mains Rimp KO

  • Action: If mains impedance exceeds allowed values, wait 30 seconds, recheck, and inspect cables between the inverter and mains. Use larger cables if needed and adjust the impedance parameter with Soleil Solar Control. Replace the impedance circuit if the fault persists.

No Power From Mains

  • Action: Check the AC connection with a multimeter if the system is not connected to mains. Inspect mains connections, cables, and connectors. Do not close a tripped switch between the inverter and mains; instead, replace the system.

Inverter Failure: PV High Voltage

  • Action: Measure the open photovoltaic field voltage to ensure it's not above or close to 500 VDC. If significantly below (i.e., < 430 V), compare multimeter readings with displayed values. Replace the unit if the difference is >5%.

M/S Values KO

  • Action: Displayed when the main and redundant controller readings don't match. Disconnect PV (+) or PV (-) and restart. Replace the system if failure persists.

Inverter Failure

  • Action: Displayed when the circuit operates incorrectly. Disconnect PV (+) or PV (-) and restart. Replace the system if failure continues.

High Temperature

  • Action: If the internal temperature exceeds specified values, lower the ambient temperature or relocate the inverter to a cooler location. Replace the temperature sensor if the failure persists.

Note: All features and alarms related to the control of the mains impedance are disabled.
