Phoenix Contact VALVETRAB VAL-MS 500 ST is a Type 2 Surge Protective Device (SPD) designed to protect electrical installations up to 600 V AC against transient overvoltages.
The device consists of the VAL-MS 500 ST plug-in protection module and the VAL-MS BE/FM base, which includes a remote signaling contact (FM – Fault Monitoring) for status monitoring. This feature enables remote supervision of the arrester’s operational state, making it ideal for installations requiring system monitoring.
Engineered for DIN rail mounting, this SPD provides effective protection against transient overvoltages caused by indirect lightning strikes and switching operations, safeguarding distribution boards and sensitive equipment.
Thanks to its pluggable protection module, maintenance is quick and straightforward: in the event of activation, only the protection cartridge needs to be replaced without disconnecting the entire base.
The industrial-grade build quality of Phoenix Contact ensures reliability, compliance with international standards, and long operational life even in demanding industrial environments.
